The encroaching development of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid City inevitably meant that Meydan had to close their temporary cycling facility. A new facility was required.  Meydan has assigned Revo to work on development strategy, feasibility, detailed design as well as marketing strategy.

The challenge therefore was to develop a brand-new cycling facility which could compliment Meydan’s brand, encourage and promote a healthy lifestyle for the residents, and could also cater for a diverse range of guests and individuals. Project is located at Meydan plot which has a magnificent view of the Burj Khalifa, easy access for visitors and residents and, more importantly, has access to the Nad Al Sheba cycling track.

The concept of the facility was based on upcycling shipping containers and to apply immaculate finishes throughout. Project has bathrooms, showers, locker facilities, indoor and outdoor refreshment areas, several F&B units, Bikers retail and cyclist self centre. Revo has also proposed bikes storage facilities for rental.

The tracks can be used for any sports on wheels including skateboarding, BMX racing and rollerblading. Smaller tracks can be used for beginners and children.
